Nourish Myself
Good morning: water, meditation, reflection, and salat in the blue-black cool. I hope God hears me and smiles.
I'm still feeling raw and a bit confused from a conversation a few days ago. (followup soon)
Some days. On days similar to this, when the oak trees in the front yard cover the grass in the morning cool, the ruby-throated hummingbirds fly three houses down for their conference; I can read a novel paragraph before "Daddy?" cracks through the stillness. On those days, I can write a paragraph, or if my mother's God feels exceptionally generous...two paragraphs before "Daddy!!!" erupts into the scene. Today is not that day. A cup of ginger tea cools, the story's heartbeat unhurries as my laptop's battery relaxes without me, and I am running out of Warrior Princess and Power Ranger scenarios to play.
Bike ride, trail walk, and picnic under an orange sky. Zoe has a new laugh.
Smoothie time: pineapple, strawberry, peaches, mango, homemade tea blend (peppermint-cardandy-echinacea-lemon grass-clove-spearment-cinnamon-burdock-rosehip-licorice). I know that was a lot, but hol’ up…not done. ‘Amazing Grass’ green blend (lemon peel-dandelion root-turmeric root-ginger-garlic-fennel seed-cayenne-aloe) Getting our bodies fortified for the coming fall/winter.
Excited for natural alternatives to Wellbutrin and Hydroxyzine.
